Happy 1 Year Anniversary to PNHC!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary to PNHC!

It is hard to believe that Plattsville Natural Health Clinic (PNHC) has been open now for 1 year! We want to thank everyone who has made our clinic possible and has supported our clinic. We also want to thank all of our patients! We are so honoured and blessed to be able to walk with each of you through your health journeys. We also want to continue to support you through the different elements of your health care, which brings us to our exciting news.

EXCITING NEWS!

New Member of PNHC Staff

On our 1 year anniversary, we are happy to introduce Katie (Kaitlyn) Rowland RMT to our team! As of today she has officially started treating patients out of our clinic, and will continue to be taking bookings for Tuesdays between 2:00pm and 8:00pm. We will be expanding massage therapy bookings in the future, but for now will offer this service on Tuesday afternoons/evenings.

Katie is a phenomenal Registered Massage Therapist with over 3 years experience. She offers not only deep-tissue and Swedish massage, but also gentler treatments. She fits her treatment to the individual and supports individuals walking through a variety of health concerns. If you are interested in booking a massage with Katie, please call/text the clinic at 226-232-7665, email us, or message us on facebook at Plattsville Natural Health Clinic.

Expansion

Our clinic dreams of being a hub for health care. As a result, we have expanded the square footage of our clinic by assuming the rental space beside us in addition to the space we currently rent! We have been renovating the space to accommodate our future plans and we look forward to showing off the hard work to our PNHC community and our community in general. With all of this extra space, we are looking to add other health care professionals to our team including (but not limited to):

  • Chiropractic Doctor
  • Registered Massage Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Medical Doctor
  • Foot Care
  • And More

If you, or someone you know is interested in joining our team, please send us an email and we would be happy to discuss this opportunity with you!

The 12 Days of Giveaways 2018!

Dr. Elisha Cook ND  and the Plattsville Natural Health Clinic team have so much to be thankful for and celebrate as we end the 2018 year. We want to express that gratitude by holding what we hope to be an annual 12 days of Giveaways and Patient Visit Draw. These contests are open to both patients and patrons of either clinic. One requires a patient visit and the other simply involves following us on facebook and the rules that apply there. Please see below for the details of both draws/giveaways.

Patient Visit Draw: During the month of December, any patient who has a Naturopathic visit (at either Meyers Chiropractic and Health Specialists in Woodstock or Plattsville Natural Health Clinic) will be entered into a draw for a basket full of naturopathic goodies! The draw ends December 31, 2018.

Facebook Giveaways – The 12 Days of Giveaways: Enter our facebook contest for the 12 days of giveaways by finding Dr. Elisha Cook Naturopathic Doctor (https://www.facebook.com/DrElishaCookND/ ) or Plattsville Natural Health Clinic (https://www.facebook.com/PlattsvilleNaturalHealthClinic/ ) on Facebook! We will be giving away a gift everyday for 12 days, all you need to do is like the facebook page, share the post of the day, and comment on the post. All three of these need to be done for a valid entry. The dates for this contest are as follows: December 3-7, 2018; December 10-14, 2018; and December 17-19, 2018

Please note that you must be a resident of Ontario Canada, residing between London Ontario and Guelph Ontario. You also must be able to claim your prize by coming directly to the Meyers Chiropractic Clinic OR Plattsville Natural Health Clinic to pick it up within 1 week of being notified that you have won. You must also contact Dr. Elisha Cook ND after being contacted regarding your win to confirm that you accept the draw prize. If you do not contact her within 24 hours of being notified of your win, the draw prize will be given to a subsequent winner. The prize is also not transferable or redeemable for the cash equivalent.

Thank you for the support over the last three years and I look forward to providing naturopathic health care to the Woodstock, Plattsville, and surrounding areas for years to come. – Dr. Elisha Cook ND

The End to 2016, the Beginning to 2017: What is to come?

A Year in Review

What a year 2016 has been. We have had a lot of ups and downs in world events, and a lot has changed from when 2016 started. I know that for myself, I have seen a lot of changes within my own practice. Ultimately, I have learned a lot from all of my patients and I want to express that heart felt gratitude. Thank you to everyone who has walked through the doors of my office, opened up about your struggles, and allowed me to be a part of your journey. I am also grateful for all of those who have continued to keep engaged by reading my blogs, attending trade shows/events, and posting/sharing via social media. I encourage you that if you have any feedback you would like to provide regarding my blogs, posts, or doctoring, to provide that to me so I can better serve you! You can simply contact me through the contact portion of my website or via email.

Things to Come in 2017

In the New Year, I will have the opportunity to order blood testing as a pay-for-service for patients. What this means is you will not have to necessarily go through your medical doctor to get certain blood tests ordered. In addition, I will be promoting more of my own brand of teas for purchase, while continuing to make custom blends and sell supplements for patients. I have also given some thought into providing in-home visits to help make my services more accessible for some. Finally, I am hoping that with the New Year will bring some more opportunities to finish and finalize a book I have been writing for patient education purposes! I will keep you all posted with updates on it!

As always, thank you for staying connected, and I look forward to working with you!

Thank You

Autumn Girl enjoying nature on the field. Beauty Girl Outdoors rThis photo probably sums up more than words the relief that I feel right now. Why might you ask? Well, I passed all of my licensing exams! So, what does that mean? Now I need to be approved for registration with the College of Naturopaths and apply for the appropriate insurance. Once this is complete, I am ready to practice as a Naturopathic Doctor and can then officially call myself a Doctor! This has been a long time coming and has required facing my own demons, overcoming past traumas, and discovering who I am aside from my profession. I have had successes, but also made some mistakes that have helped me in the long run. Ultimately, I am truly thankful for these experiences and for the practitioner they will have helped shaped me into. No “acceptance speech” would be without its “Thank you”, and so, what follows is my condensed list.

To start with, first and foremost is to do what most Grammy – award winning artists do, and that is, thank my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I do realize that I may receive judgement, criticism, disdain, etc. for this comment; but I truly cannot take the credit for what has transpired. My strength is in Him alone, and I could not have overcome what I have without Him. That being said, I have received so many prayers and support from my family and church family over the past 8 years, and I am truly grateful to have so much love surrounding me. My family has shaped me into the woman that I am, and I cannot thank them enough for pushing me when I needed it and encouraging me along the way, even if my own mother thought I was going to be a witch doctor 🙂 (it’s okay she is now my biggest fan).

Throughout this whole journey, I have had my faithful and loving husband by my side. I cannot say how truly blessed I am to have had him over the past 8 years to comfort me through the tears and walk with me through the pain, but also to rejoice with me in the victories.

Finally, as always, I want to thank all of the beautiful souls that I have met along the way, specifically, the patients that I have had the pleasure of working with. I have learned so much and have been so blessed by you all. Walking with you has helped shaped me into the practitioner I want to be and will be. Also, thank you and much love to you my readers for all of your constant support!

I will keep you all posted in the following weeks as to when I am accepting patients!
